Lauren Gower: The Tuesday Reading Group

The Tuesday Reading Group meets twice monthly for a 2-hour meeting. This group was originally led by Gavin Ivey but is now facilitated by Lauren Gower.Group members dedicate the first hour of the meeting to clinical case presentations. The second hour is dedicated to selected psychoanalytic readings, which deal with the ethical, technical and theoretical dilemmas arising from the case material. Movies are watched on occasion to illuminate theory.

Readings will be drawn from classical theory (Freud, Klein, Winnicott, Bion, Meltzer, Rosenfeld, Segal, Balint) and contemporary texts (Britton, Steiner, Green, Stoller, Bollas, Gabbard, Phillips, Benjamin, Malcolm) largely sourced from the International Journal of Psychoanalysis and other IPA-affiliated journals.

The group is open to anyone with an interest in Psychoanalysis.
